This is the cover for my sixth novel which is about two people who live in London during the Blitz in WW2. The scene is especially poignant – the empty space was occupied by the nurses’ home at Saint Thomas’s Hospital. The hospital buildings were bombed eight times during WW2, yet they never closed their doors, indicating the remarkable bravery shown by those ordinary men and women who staffed the hospital during those desperate years. Wonderful, engrossing stories. Fell completely for all the characters. Very moving in many – sometimes unexpected places. But did I miss the fate of Lilly and Edward?
