I finished reading “Parallel Lives” at 3.30 this morning! Not only was I trapped in the description of the unimaginable terror of the Blitz, but I was enthralled by the lyrically beautiful structure of profound thoughts spoken by the characters throughout the story.

Often I had to stop and re read a sentence to fully appreciate the beauty of the construction and the amazing clarity of thought expressed in a single sentence.

The character of each person is consistent from beginning to the end of the story. I had previously read the “None Stood Taller” series straight through and couldn’t stop telling my friends to read the series.
