Brilliant from start to finish. Unstoppable read even with dodgy eyes! Cannot wait to start the “Autumn” series.

Superb!!
This is without doubt one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time. I was taken on a journey and felt as if I was right there with the characters and in the settings of the story. Do yourself a favor and read the other books in the series for the whole story. You won’t be sorry. Oh, and one last note, have a box of tissues close at hand. The books are very emotionally charged. 21.4.2022

This book “None Stood Taller The Price of Freedom” is simply amazing. Historical facts interwoven with amazing characters and totally believable/plausible events. Trepidation one moment (tears quite often) and smiles of relief next. It was like you were in the room with the characters; indeed so realistic, it was like watching the film whilst reading the book. If you read one book this year, make it this one….

I cannot express how truly remarkable this story was. I love movies depicting wartime. I believe the heroes depicted represent only a fraction of all the true heroes of those times. I recommend these books to anyone who enjoys a strong willed female lead character who isn’t afraid of doing what needs to be done regardless of the barriers put before her. The historic details woven into this love story are what made me repeatedly have to remind myself that these characters didn’t exist in that period of time no matter how real they appeared in print. Mr Turnham, please sir, sell the rights to this story to Hollywood and let these characters live on in film. You have a reader for life. Kelly

“None Stood Taller”. I enjoy reading WW2 historical fiction and this was, without a doubt, one of the best I’ve read. It really hit home for me in a variety of ways. It’s a very well written, inspirational and atmospheric read, but this book is much more than a story about WW2. It’s a wonderful story about life, about leadership, achievement, teamwork, camaraderie, love, courage, compassion, perseverance, and above all, demonstrating how helping people believe in themselves can achieve great things. This is one of those reads where you don’t want to finish it, but can’t put it down. I look forward to the sequel. This author will be heard from!

I am an avid reader of historical fiction of the world wars. It is clear that Peter Turnham was a dedicated researcher for this book and the one before it, both with the same title, except this one was “The Final Year”. It was unputdownable, and I forced myself to read only a couple of chapters at a time so I could savour the entire story slowly. It is blessed with complex characters who are well developed as the story unwinds. It is a book that will have you experience a variety of emotions – joy, triumph, sadness, and depression among many. Ultimately, it really helps the reader understand vicariously how the United Kingdom and its people lived through horrific times and emerged victorious. Enjoy every page – I envy you!

Fabulous read – E McGlone: I whizzed through this book and enjoyed every page. It was heart-warming, genuine and informative. I can’t wait to read the next one.

No words, you have to read it – LoveQualityBargains,UK:
